In the first part of the seminar on the academic seat, we focus on the so-called physical seat – the “going with the horse”. If we want to develop the seat as a primary aid, the first step is to stay on top – but with balance! And: to not disturb the horse.
This sounds much easier than it is, because too much tension in the seat often prevents us from really feeling the horse.
In this seminar we will discuss
- What is the physical seat?
- What movement does the rider’s pelvis make?
- How can we feel the movement of the horse’s legs?
- Seat and chest rotation
- Exercises and inner pictures that enable us to feel better
- Why is learning to ride so difficult?
