Many riders struggle with mounting their horse and miss to educate this important task to it. A horse that knows how to balance itself before a rider mounts its back will have much easier to take care of the rider’s weight. We should aim at creating a safe horse rather than only dressing it with safe equipment. If we can make the horse proud and aware when mounted, a lot of important aspects have been covered at that early stage. Mounting is an education exercise that shouldn’t be rushed through.
